Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrives in Wayanad with his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra after being disqualified from the Lok Sabha. Addressing a public meeting here, he lashed out at the BJP-ruled central government. Rahul said, ‘MP is just a tag. It’s a post… So BJP can remove the tag, they can take the post, they can take the house and they can even put me in jail but they can’t stop me from representing the people of Wayanad. I will keep asking questions. He said that 4 years ago I came here and became MP. It was different for me to campaign here. I am not from Kerala, but your love made me feel that I am your brother, your son.

Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad said, ‘They (central government) think they will scare me by sending police to my house but I was really happy that they took my house. You take my house 50 times but I don’t care. Even then I will keep raising the issues of the country and the people of Wayanad. He said that I asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament to tell about your relationship with Adani. I asked what is your relation with Adani? But Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not answer him.

Rahul said – BJP could not understand its opponent
Rahul Gandhi said, ‘I have been fighting the BJP for many years, but it is surprising that they could not understand their opponent. They do not understand that their opponent is not going to be intimidated. They think that I will be scared by sending police to my house, I will be upset if my house is taken away. I’m glad they took him home. He said that I have seen that when there is flood in Wayanad, many people lose their houses. I have learned from you guys. Take away my house 100 times, I don’t care. I will keep raising the issues of the people of Wayanad and India.

Rahul Gandhi claimed, ‘BJP divides people, makes people fight, threatens. I will keep working to connect people. I will bring together all religions, communities and ideas. No matter how ruthless you (BJP) become, I will remain kind to you. According to him, BJP represents one point of view, Congress represents another point of view. Don’t think that my relationship with you guys is going to change. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘What have I done? I raised the issue of Gautam Adani in Parliament. I used media reports to explain how Adani became the second richest person in the world. I showed how the defense relationship with Israel was changed, how the foreign policy was changed? I asked what is your relation with Adani? The Prime Minister did not respond.

Priyanka raised the issue of Rahul’s membership
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra raised the issue of disqualification of Rahul. Hundreds of workers gave a grand welcome to Rahul-Priyanka
A large number of people, including United Democratic Front (UDF) leaders and workers, gathered to welcome Rahul Gandhi at Kalpetta in this border district of Kerala. Here in Kalpetta, hundreds of UDF workers queued up for a roadshow called Satyameva Jayate carrying the Indian flag.
