Puri Jagannath temple will remain closed for public darshan for three hours today

Puri: Jagannath Temple, popularly known as Shri Mandir in Odisha, will remain closed for public darshan for three hours today i.e. on Wednesday. The temple will remain closed for devotees as the Bankalagi ritual of the Holy Trinity will be performed in the temple today. According to the temple administration, public darshan will remain closed today from 6 pm to 9 pm after the second Bhog Mandap is over. Bankalagi ritual or Shrimukh Shringaar is performed on Krishna Panchami tithi of Nitit Magh month. Since the Bankalagi Niti is a secret ritual, the Jaya Bijay gate will be closed. The rituals will be performed by Datamahapatra Sevayats.
