Punjab Youth Congress surrounded Ravneet Bittu’s house in Delhi
Punjab: On Friday, a large number of Punjab Youth Congress workers led by the Punjab Youth Congress president stormed the residence of Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu in Delhi to demand his resignation from the BJP over maligning the image of Punjab and the attacks. The agitated youth in Punjab raised slogans against Ravneet Bittu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Delhi Police arrested the PYC president and other youth council members. Mohindra said it was shameful that Ravneet Bittu is accused of being a BJP man and called Rahul Gandhi a terrorist. He said it was Rahul Gandhi who gave him political power and made him wear a turban. He asked Bittu if he had spent 25 years with terrorists and enjoyed the power and opportunities of the Congress party.
Mahindra said the people of Punjab are upset with Bittu’s comments and they will give a befitting reply. He asked Bittu to stop slinging mud at the Nationalist Congress Party leader. He also challenged other BJP leaders who are aligning with communist forces and toeing the BJP line. He urged these leaders to clarify the allegations made by Mr Bittu against Rahul Gandhi. He said the BJP was trying to defame the Sikh community and was working against the interests of the minority community. He said Bittu had committed a political mistake by making derogatory comments against the Sikh community and minority community spokesperson Rahul Gandhi. He said Rahul Gandhi had criticised the BJP’s pseudo-secularism and anti-minority mindset in its dealings with NRIs in the US. “Rahul Gandhi has exposed the real face of the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the world,” he said.
