Punjab: Woman commits suicide, case filed against husband for incitement

Punjab: A woman from Sunam allegedly tried to commit suicide by hanging herself at her house and died during treatment at DMC Hospital in Ludhiana. The woman reportedly took the step due to her husband’s alleged “illicit relationship”. The victim’s father Dara Singh alleged that his son-in-law Gagandeep Singh was having an “illicit” relationship with a woman for the past one year. He said due to this, his daughter was mentally disturbed for some time and took the step. Sunam police has registered a case against Gagandeep and a woman under Section 108 of BNS.
