Punjab: Voter list revision schedule announced

Punjab: Punjab State Election Commission has notified the schedule for revision of voter lists for bye-elections to Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Phagwara Municipal Corporations, 43 Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats and 52 Municipal Councils in the state. Giving this information here today, Punjab State Election Commissioner, Raj Kamal Chaudhary said that the draft voter lists will be published by the Voter Registration Officers on November 14 and claims and objections, if any, would be filed from November 18 to 25. The final list will be published on December 7. The eligibility date for getting registered as a voter is November 1, said the press note.
