Punjab: Timing of Attari-Wagah Retreat Ceremony changed

Punjab: The timing of the famous Retreat Ceremony at the Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post on the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar has been changed. This daily ceremony, which attracts thousands of people from India and abroad, will now be held from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Previously, the ceremony started at 5:00 pm and ended by 5:30 pm. Officials said the change was made due to the changing weather and daylight hours. The new timing came into effect from April 1. The Retreat Ceremony, conducted jointly by the Indian Border Security Force and the Pakistan Rangers, remains a major attraction for both tourists and locals, showcasing discipline, coordination, and patriotic fervor.
