Punjab: Three heroin smugglers in the clutches of police

Punjab: The CIA staff of Punjab Police today claimed to have recovered 60 grams of heroin and Rs 50,000, possibly drug money, from a car and arrested all three occupants of the car. The suspects have been identified as Harshdeep Singh Jassal, a resident of Azimgarh in Abohar, Sharma, a resident of Chak 6A village in Sriganganagar and Gurpratap Singh Sidhu, a resident of Nai Abadi in Abohar. Sub-Inspector Milkh Raj said the patrolling team stopped a car with Delhi registration number near National Highway-62. The three occupants of the car tried to flee but were nabbed. Police have recovered heroin and cash from the car. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Khuian Sarwar police station.
