Punjab: Teen’s discovery on physics, entropy gets global honour

Punjab: Vineet Sharma, a fifteen-year-old student of DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur has made India very proud by making a remarkable discovery in the field of physics. The student was recently felicitated by the International Book of Records at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, accompanied by his parents Sunaina Sharma and Vikas Sharma. Addressing the press, Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir expressed immense happiness to announce that the Class 11 student has earned international acclaim for a groundbreaking scientific contribution, bringing laurels to the country. The young researcher was felicitated by the editorial board of the International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research (IJFMR), Bhavnagar, Gujarat, for a special research paper titled “Chrono Entropy – A Model for the Emergence of Time from Entropy and Gravitation”.
This cutting-edge research paper, which explores topics related to space science, was published in the March/April 2025 session and achieved an impressive impact factor of 9.24. This rating highlights the scientific depth, innovation and relevance of the work in the global physics community. In acknowledgement of this achievement, the student was awarded a Certificate of Publication. Apart from his work in physics, the student has also written and published a book titled “IT Edge” on Information Technology. This guidebook focuses on simple methods to enhance academic performance and is a testimony to his sharp intellect and abilities. The book is also available on Amazon. Principal Dr. Gambhir proudly said that not only the student’s parents and school but one day the entire country will feel proud of him on the world stage.
