Punjab: Seminar organized on India’s journey towards developed India
Punjab: Gyan Shakti Think Tank of Sapta Shakti Command in collaboration with Consumer Utility Trust Society (CUTS International) organized an informative seminar titled “Bharat Ki Journey: Paving the Path for a Developed India” at Jaipur Military Station. The seminar focused on the collaborative efforts of the Army, academia, government and other stakeholders in realizing the vision of “Vikasit Bharat” (Developed India). Pradeep Mehta, Secretary General, CUTS International, eminent economist and visionary, delivered a comprehensive lecture on India’s remarkable journey towards becoming the fifth largest economy in the world.
He emphasized the importance of aligning efforts across multiple sectors including human capital development, economic reforms, green growth and social infrastructure to achieve this vision. The discussions also highlighted the need for social cohesion and cooperation in line with the Government’s philosophy of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”. This was followed by an interesting Q&A session, which discussed important aspects of India’s path towards becoming a developed India. Army Commander South Western Command Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh underlined the importance of coordinated efforts in defence and technology to realise the dream of a developed India. He also highlighted the role of military personnel and veterans in nation building and lauded the efforts of the Government of India for holistic development, stressing the importance of a “whole of nation” approach to achieve the dream of a developed India by 2047.
