Punjab: Policeman arrested for firing and snatching car

Punjab: An assistant sub-inspector has been arrested for assaulting a man, snatching his car and licensed pistol, and later firing in the air. A video of the incident surfaced on social media. The accused has been identified as Dhanna Singh, posted at the Mansa police lines. He is suspected to be drunk. According to the FIT, Gurpreet Singh and his son, Vishvdeep Singh, were traveling from Jhanduke village to Muktsar on Sunday night when the ASI stopped them and asked for a lift. After getting into their car, the ASI allegedly attacked Gurpreet Singh, snatched his licensed pistol, and fled with the vehicle.
