Punjab News: 2 arrested for attacking police

Police arrested two cyclists who attacked service police at a checkpoint on the Chabal-Amritsar Parikrama road on Wednesday night. Investigating Officer (IO) ASI Karnail Singh said the suspects have been identified as Lal Singh of Gulalipur and Gurdas Singh of Kazikot Kalan.

The ASI said the suspects were riding a motorcycle near a vehicle when they were arrested by a police group.

They said that they will show the documents of the bicycle to take possession of it. However, in the IRA attack, the two attacked ASI Dilbagh Singh and were captured by other policemen at the post. Action was taken against the suspects under sections 353, 186, 332 and 34 of the IPC.
