Punjab: Heroin smuggler with links to Pakistani suppliers arrested

Punjab: Police here have arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 6.38 kg of heroin from him. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said that following inputs, the accused, Sonu Singh (29), a resident of Kilche village, was arrested near Akku Wala village. He is said to have received the heroin from smugglers in Pakistan. The SSP further said that Sonu was in touch with smugglers across the border. He had three cases pending against him under the Arms and NDPS Act, and was out on bail. A new case was registered at the Sadar police station.
