Punjab: Family members of the farmer who went to Pakistan met the Governor

Punjab: Family members of farmer Amritpal Singh, who inadvertently crossed over to Pakistan on June 21, have been running from pillar to post to bring him back to India. Amritpal’s father Jugraj Singh, other family members and BJP national executive member Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi recently met Governor Gulab Chand Kataria in Chandigarh.

They urged the governor to intervene in the matter to ensure Amritpal’s safe return to India. Jugraj claimed that the governor has assured help in the matter. “BSF officials have repeatedly raised the issue with Pakistani officials, but to no avail so far,” Jugraj said.
