Punjab: Engineering student dies in accident

Punjab: Potholes on National Highway-503 between Anandpur Sahib and Nangal claimed the life of a youth on Saturday. Devansh Donsi, a 22-year-old student of Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET), Chandigarh, reportedly failed to avoid a pothole on the highway, causing his motorcycle to skid. A truck tanker coming from the opposite direction crushed him, killing him on the spot.
A college student accompanying him was also injured in the accident and was rushed to Nangal Civil Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. Donsi was a resident of Dugri area near Brahmpur village in Ludhiana. The two were reportedly on their way to Jawali area in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, where Devansh was to drop the girl. A case has been registered.
