Punjab Congress: Bhagwant Mann’s Grand Claims Are an Attempt to Mislead the People

Punjab: On Monday, the Congress party accused Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of attempting to mislead the public through “exaggerated claims” regarding the performance of the AAP government. Pratap Singh Bajwa, the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, stated that the Chief Minister’s embellishment of the government’s achievements is nothing more than a publicity exercise aimed at concealing serious administrative shortcomings.

“The reality is that the tenure of the AAP government has been the most disappointing in the recent history of Punjab,” he asserted. The senior Congress leader alleged that the law and order situation in Punjab has deteriorated significantly. He noted that over the past four years, there has been a surge in organized crime, extortion threats against businessmen, attacks on police stations and political leaders, and various other criminal activities.

Bajwa remarked that the promises made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal have failed to translate into tangible results. “Drug addiction is devastating families across the state, and young lives are being lost due to overdoses, while the government remains preoccupied with cultivating an image of success,” he said.
