Punjab: Bhagwant Singh Mann condemns Canada violence
Punjab: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday condemned the incidents of violence in Canada and urged the Indian government to take up the matter with the Canadian government. The CM said Canada is the second home of lakhs of Punjabis who live there. Our relations with Canada must remain cordial. However, it is unfortunate that the politics of division and hatred has found its feet in Canada, the CM said.
Such acts of hatred and violence are highly condemnable. Punjabis are priests of peace, due to which they are loved all over the world. However, such acts bring a bad name to Punjab and Punjabis, he said. He said the Canadian government must ensure strict action against the culprits of this heinous crime, so that it serves as a deterrent to others in the future.
