Pune: Ploggers collect liquor bottles and 20 bags of garbage at historic Shaniwar Wada

Maharashtra: 18 bags of plastic waste along with liquor bottles were recovered during a massive clean-up drive carried out by Pune Ploggers at the historic Shaniwar Wada site on Sunday. As part of drive number 562, a total of 29 volunteers participated in the effort, who collected 18 bags of plastic and 2 bags of glass bottles from the area frequented by tourists and locals.

The group urged citizens to recognise that while clean-up drives help, they are only temporary solutions.

They emphasised that real change will only happen when people stop littering, demand more civic responsibility and start treating public spaces like their homes.

The group’s message was clear: “We will keep cleaning. But we hope that someday we won’t have to. Until then, join us – one bag, one bottle, one thing at a time.” 18 bags of plastic waste were recovered along with liquor bottles during a massive clean-up drive conducted by Pune Ploggers at the historic Shaniwar Wada site on Sunday.
