Pune: Painting worker dies after losing balance, case filed against contractor

Maharashtra: A painting worker died after falling from a ladder in Vadgaon Sheri area. Chandannagar police have registered a case against the contractor responsible for the death of the worker for not taking safety measures. The name of the deceased worker is Amarnath Bhagirathi Bharti (age 54, resident of Uttamnagar). A case has been registered against the contractor in this regard. Police constable Mahesh Bhogale has lodged a complaint in this regard at Chandannagar police station. According to the police, painting work is going on at the Perfect Bountiful Building located in Vadgaon Sheri. Amarnath was painting there. On Thursday (January 9), while working in the building, Amarnath suffered serious head injuries after falling from the ladder. Seriously injured Amarnath died during treatment. This accident happened due to not taking safety measures. A case has been registered against the contractor. Chandannagar police is investigating the matter.
