Property dealer shot dead in Patna

Patna (IANS) | A property dealer was shot dead in Danapur area of Patna. The police gave this information on Tuesday. The incident happened on Monday late night.

The deceased Amar Kumar Rai was hit by three bullets and died on the spot.

During investigation, it was found that some people, known to him, had asked him to come to Ward No. 9 of Chitragupt Nagar. Rai was returning from Bazar Samiti Patna by bike, when he reached there the criminals fired indiscriminately on him.

Rai tried to flee from the spot but failed. The assailants shot him thrice and fled from the spot while firing in the air as well. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera and the police is trying to identify the accused on the basis of the footage.

Police claimed that Rai was recently involved in selling land and earned a substantial commission. The reason for his murder could be the division of commission.
