Professor threatened to pass subject, 2 students arrested

Korba. Some youths abused a professor of Oriental Medical College, Korba and threatened to kill him for passing the paper. The professor complained about this to Manikpur Chowki Police. After this, the police took the matter seriously and arrested two accused on the basis of the location of the mobile number.

According to the information, Maheshwar Bharti, resident of SECL Subhash Block, is posted as Professor in Oriental Medical College under Manikpur Chowki area. The professor told that some youths first called and talked to him about taking admission. The professor asked the youth to go to college and get information in this regard.

Even after this the youth were harassing the professor by making phone calls. Fed up with this, the professor went to meet the youth. The professor went to meet him by car with his wife and children. During this time the youth met him and started abusing him and threatening to kill him. When the professor’s wife got down from the car and started making videos on her mobile, all the youths ran away from the spot. Manikpur outpost in-charge Premchand Sahu said that the professor had given a written complaint that some youths were threatening him about passing the paper. After investigation, Korbi residents Avinash Rathore Kumar and Hitesh Kumar were arrested and action was taken against them.
