Prisoner stuck pencil in urine pipe, causing sensation in the department

An inmate in Central Jail Ambikapur got a pencil stuck in his urinary tract, causing his health to deteriorate. Upon receiving the information, the prison administration immediately admitted the inmate to the prison ward of Ambikapur Medical College Hospital. After providing first aid, doctors operated on the inmate and removed the 9-centimeter-long pencil from his urinary tract.
Statement from the Medical College Hospital
Praveen Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Medical College Hospital, stated that the inmate’s condition is now stable and he is out of danger. He added that this was a serious case, as a pencil stuck in the urinary tract could have caused serious infection and complications.
Doctors stated that the operation was successful and the inmate is now out of danger. The prison administration has launched an investigation into why the inmate inserted the pencil into his urinary tract and how he acquired it. Jail officials say that further action will be taken after the investigation.
Bizarre incident sparks panic in jail
This act by a prisoner in the Central Jail created panic among the staff and other inmates. The jail administration immediately provided medical assistance and called a team of doctors. Doctors stated that if timely treatment had not been provided, the incident could have posed a serious threat to the prisoner.
Rape under false pretense of marriage reported in Sitapur
Meanwhile, another serious case has come to light from Sitapur in Surguja district. Sitapur police have arrested a young man who lured a young woman with the promise of marriage and then raped her. The victim filed a written complaint at the Sitapur police station alleging that the accused, Roshan Tirkey, a 24-year-old resident of Devgarh village, lured her with the promise of marriage and then subjected her to his lust. According to the victim, the accused also began threatening her, which frightened her. After this, the victim mustered courage and informed the police about the entire incident.
Police’s swift action
Sitapur police immediately registered an FIR and arrested the accused, Roshan Tirkey, and sent him to Central Jail, Ambikapur, on judicial remand. Police stated that further investigation into the case is ongoing and all legal procedures will be completed.
