President condoles the death of actor Dharmendra

President of India Droupadi Murmu has expressed her condolences on the death of Bollywood’s famous actor Dharmendra. She posted a post on her official Twitter account to this effect. She said that Dharmendra’s death is a huge loss for Indian cinema. She recalled that he played many unforgettable roles in his decades-long film career.

“The death of veteran actor and former Member of Parliament Dharmendra is a huge loss to Indian cinema. He played many wonderful and unforgettable roles in his decades-long film career. He was a towering figure in Indian cinema. My heartfelt condolences to Dharmendra’s family, friends and fans,” the President said in his post.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra, who had been suffering from ill health for some time, breathed his last on Monday afternoon at his residence in Mumbai. The film industry was shocked by this. Later, his last rites were performed at the Vile Parle crematorium in Mumbai.
