New Delhi (IANS) | Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed building of Parliament on Sunday, May 28. Opposition parties have announced to boycott the ceremony for not getting the President to inaugurate the new Parliament House. Amidst the ongoing dispute between the government and the opposition regarding the inauguration program of the new Parliament House, it is being told that the congratulatory message of President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar will also be read at the inauguration ceremony.
According to sources, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh is likely to read the congratulatory message of President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar at the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House. According to sources, the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building is likely to begin around 7:30 am on Sunday. The program will begin with a special puja as per Vedic rituals. This special puja is likely to last for about one and a half hours. It is being told that apart from Prime Minister Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh are also likely to be present in this special worship programme.
During the puja and chanting, 20 swamis and special priests from various monasteries in Tamil Nadu will hand over the sacred Sengol to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will be installed near the Speaker’s podium around 9 am. After this, there will be a prayer meeting for about half an hour in which Shankaracharya, saints and many scholars will be present.
After this, the invited special guests and MPs will reach the Lok Sabha hall inside the new Parliament House to attend the main function of the inauguration. The ceremony is likely to begin only after 12 noon.
Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress National President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and former Speakers of Lok Sabha, among others, have also been specially invited.
This phase of the program will begin with the National Anthem followed by the screening of two short documentary films. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh will read the congratulatory message of President Murmu and Vice President Dhankhar. Being the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge is also scheduled to speak. Although the Congress has announced to boycott this inauguration program. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, being the custodian of the Parliament House complex, will also address the programme.
To make the inauguration program of this new building of Parliament memorable and memorable, Prime Minister Modi will also release a new coin of Rs 75 on this occasion. This inaugural program will conclude with the address of Prime Minister Modi.
