Premam bridge turns rendezvous spot; College group including girls rough up man for questioning ‘lewd conduct’

ALUVA: Thottakkattukara Bridge, popularly known as ‘Premam Bridge’ is now a topic of conundrum for the residents in the area. The scenic bridge captured in all its rustic grandeur in the movie ‘Premam’ invited a surge in visitors to the area since 2015. However, the residents are now caught in quibble with the bridge turning into a rendezvous spot for youngsters. On Saturday, a group of four including two girls badly thrashed a senior citizen who questioned the youngsters’ lewd conduct.The incident took place at Thottakkattukara aqueduct bridge on Saturday.

Sajan (48) a resident from the area was manhandled by the group and he is currently undergoing treatment in the district hospital. Aqueduct Bridge, where scenes from the movie ‘Premam’ were shot, is frequented by visitors. Sajan has also filed a complaint to Aluva police regarding the incident.
