Pregnant woman’s uterus burst, doctors saved her life by performing immediate surgery
Durg. A pregnant woman, resident of Station Maroda, was admitted to the MCH wing of District Hospital Durg on 17 January 2024 at 12.00 noon. According to civil surgeon Dr. Sahu, during investigation, it was found that her uterus had ruptured. The woman’s life was saved by the gynecologist of the hospital, Dr. BR Sahu, who operated on her without any delay at 2.30 pm on January 17.
In this operation, Dr. Basant Chaurasia, anesthesiologist, provided his support in making the operation successful by making the patient unconscious and the staff working in OT also played an important role in the above operation. At present the woman is healthy. During the operation approximately 02 liters of blood was released into the stomach. Dr. Arun Kumar Sahu, Civil Surgeon cum Chief Hospital Superintendent, has congratulated all the doctors and staff involved in the operation for saving the life of the woman by performing the above complex surgery on time.
