Pregnant Woman Walks 6 Km From Village For Delivery Dies In Maharashtra

Mumbai: A pregnant woman took a big risk in a remote village where there were no medical facilities. She walked six kilometers with her husband to deliver her baby. However, her health condition deteriorated and she died. This tragic incident took place in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. 24-year-old Asha Santosh Kiranga of Aldandi Tola village was nine months pregnant. There were no delivery facilities in the village. There was no road access from the village to the main road.
Meanwhile, in these circumstances, Asha, who was heavily pregnant, took a big risk. She left for her sister’s house in Petha to give birth. On January 1, she walked six kilometers along a forest path with her husband. By the time she reached her sister’s house in Petha, her health condition had deteriorated.
On the other hand, on January 2, Asha’s abdominal pain increased. She was taken to Kali Ammal Hospital in Hedri in an ambulance. The doctors said that a cesarean section should be performed. However, as it was already too late, the baby in the womb died. Asha also died due to high blood pressure. After learning this information, medical officials revealed that they are investigating the incident.
