Prashant Kishor’s entry in Bihar politics, election rhythm broken from Bankipur

Patna: Jan Suraj (People’s Liberation) leader Prashant Kishore filed his nomination papers for the Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar on Monday. Prior to filing his nomination, he led a grand foot march in the capital, Patna, attended by a large number of party workers, supporters, and local residents. During the march, supporters cheered him on, chanting slogans of change and victory.

Prashant Kishore’s foot march began from the Scout and Guide Ground. It then passed through Kotwali Police Station, Dakbangla Square, SP Verma Road, JP Golambar, and Gandhi Maidan, reaching the Collectorate. He filed his nomination papers for the Bankipur Assembly by-election.

A large number of people accompanied him during the march. He was welcomed by supporters and locals at several locations along the route. Supporters raised slogans including “We will fight for Bankipur, we will win.” The administration had made special security arrangements for the march. Police were deployed and the entire route was monitored.

Speaking to the media after filing his nomination, Prashant Kishor stated that this is not just his personal electoral initiative, but a campaign for the future of Bihar. He said that his nomination symbolizes a new beginning for change in Bihar.

Prashant Kishor said, “This is not my nomination, it’s the nomination of a changing picture in Bihar. This is the nomination for a better future for Bihar and a call for criminals in Bihar to leave their positions. This is the beginning of change.”

He said that the people of the Bankipur assembly constituency want change, and Jan Suraj has entered the electoral fray as the voice of this change. He claimed that the people of Bihar are now expecting development, employment, and better governance, beyond traditional politics.

Jan Suraj supporters said that the Bankipur by-election is an important opportunity for them. Workers said that the party has entered the election field on public issues and will prioritize the problems of the area.

A large number of Jan Suraj officials and workers were present with Prashant Kishor during the nomination. Party leaders stated that during the election campaign, direct communication will be established with the people of the area, and their problems will be understood to formulate a future strategy.

Political activity has intensified regarding the Bankipur Assembly by-election. Prashant Kishor’s entry into the fray has made the contest even more interesting. All political parties are now preparing to engage in election campaigning with their own strategies.
