Prahlad Joshi also advocates CBI investigation in Prajwal case

Hubli: Union Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi has raised questions on the SIT investigation into the alleged sex scandal involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna and demanded that the investigation be handed over to the CBI to bring out the truth in the matter. Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Joshi alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar were indulging in petty politics and were not concerned about providing justice to the victims in the Prajwal Revanna case. “If the state government is not ready for a CBI probe, then to ensure fairness in the investigation, the Chief Minister should sack Shivakumar as his involvement is being alleged in the case,” he demanded. “Why was FIR not registered against Revanna immediately? On April 21 itself, alleged obscene videos related to Prajwal went viral. Why was a case not registered against him on 22nd? If they have morality then both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar should answer for this. BJP has made its stand clear on Prajwal’s case and demanded strict punishment, saying no one should be spared no matter who is involved in this case, which also includes distribution of pen drives among the public. . However, the minister criticized the government for not taking swift action in this regard and playing petty politics. Accusing the Congress government of playing politics in the case of MLA HD Revanna too, Joshi said that the oldest party needs politics more than investigation or giving justice.
