Possibilities will be explored for industrial use, CSR activities will be encouraged

Additional Chief Secretary Mines, Petroleum, Industry and MSME Mrs. Veenu Gupta has directed to explore the possibilities of industrial use by treating about 5.51 MLD additional water source of seepage in Kapurdi and Jalipa mines. He expressed the need to expand the CSR activities of Barmer Lignite Mining Company (BLMCL).
ACS Mines Smt. Gupta was addressing the 66th Board of Directors meeting of State Government Joint Venture BLMCL at Udyog Bhavan on Friday. Mrs. Gupta is also the chairperson of BLMCL. He said that if the water available from the seepage in mines is purified and used for industrial use, then it will be a useful use of water. For this, in coordination with the concerned departments including the Central Ground Water Department, he has asked to take legal action according to the rules. He informed that both the mines have seepage water of 22.96 MLD out of which additional 3.98 MLD from Kapurdi Mines and 1.53 MLD from Jalipa Mines would be available after utilization. He told that this water of about 500 TDS can be purified and made suitable for industrial use. This will make water available for industrial activities in the area.
Expressing the need to further expand the CSR activities of BLMCL, ACS Smt. Gupta said that while this would fulfill the corporate social responsibility, work of public interest would also be done. MD RSMML Shri Sandesh Nayak has been included in the CSR committee. He also reviewed the activities of BLMCL and expressed satisfaction and gave necessary directions. Shri Lalit Kumar Gupta, MD, BLMCL gave information about departmental activities.
Finance (Budget) Secretary Mr. Rohit Gupta, MD RSMML Mr. Sandesh Nayak, Mr. Prashant Jain of JSW, Mrs. Rupa Devi Singh, Mr. Sunil Dutt Vyas, Company Secretary Mr. Nitesh Gangwal etc. also gave suggestions in the meeting of the Board of Directors.
