Portion of building collapses in Noida, two vehicles damaged

Noida: A major tragedy was averted in Noida’s Sector 62 area amid continuous heavy rain. The upper portion of the I Forte building suddenly collapsed. The debris from the building severely damaged two cars parked below. The accident caused chaos and panic among the people nearby. However, it is a matter of relief that no one was reported injured in the incident.

According to information, this incident occurred in the Sector 58 police station area. It is reported that during the heavy rain, a large section of the upper portion of the I Forte building suddenly weakened and collapsed. The debris fell directly on two cars parked outside the building, damaging both vehicles.

According to eyewitnesses, the rain had caused moisture in the building. At that time, a portion of the structure suddenly collapsed. The debris was so heavy that it reached the main gate of the company and damaged the ceiling of the entrance. People present at the time of the incident were startled by the suddenness of the accident, and chaos reigned in the premises for some time.

As soon as the Sector 58 police station received information about the accident, they arrived at the scene. The police team inspected the scene and gathered information from the people nearby. Currently, the police and related departments are assessing the damage.

Following this incident, questions have been raised about the building’s construction quality and maintenance. Locals say that if this accident had occurred during busy office hours, the situation could have been extremely serious. Given the large number of employees and people commuting here, the possibility of a major loss of life could not be ruled out.

People have demanded that, given the continuous rainfall in the city, old and weak buildings should be inspected. The maintenance and safety standards of such buildings should also be reviewed to prevent such incidents in the future.

Incidents of collapse of weak parts of buildings increase during the rainy season. According to experts, constant waterlogging can affect the strength of buildings. In such a situation, periodic inspections and repairs are crucial.

At present, no casualties have been reported in this incident, but serious questions have once again been raised about building safety. The administration is investigating the matter and further action will be taken based on the investigation report.
