Poor condition of education system in the state, only one teacher in 54 schools
The issue of education has once again come up in the Assembly in Gujarat. The Aam Aadmi Party raised the issue of education and schools in the state ahead of the elections. Now this issue is also being discussed in the Vidhansabha. Answering the question of the MLA during the Question Hour in the session today, the government accepted that in 54 schools of two districts of the state, educational work is going on with only one teacher.
Education Minister replied in writing
Let us tell you that the government admitted in the assembly that 46 schools in Devbhoomi Dwarka district, 8 schools in Jamnagar district, 16 schools in Kalyanpur taluka, 12-12 schools in Khambhalia and Bhanvad talukas are currently running on only one teacher and here Students are getting education on Rambharose. In response to the question of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Hemant Ahir in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, the Education Minister gave a written reply.
No boundary wall in 7 schools of Porbandar district
Significantly, in response to the question of Congress MLA Arjun Modhwadia, the education department admitted that there is a lack of facilities in government primary schools in Porbandar and Junagadh districts. The Education Department has admitted that there is a shortage of rooms in 127 schools in Junagadh district, 9 schools in Porbandar district. While 7 schools in Porbandar district do not have electricity connection and 54 schools in Junagadh district and 7 schools in Porbandar district do not have boundary walls.
