Police seized licensed weapons, female officer gave information about this action
Mahasamund. Since the announcement of the dates of Lok Sabha elections by the Election Commission of India, the election code of conduct has been imposed all over India and during this time the police collect the licensed weapons and the police has also come into action mode. On one hand, the police is arresting the warrantees and presenting them in the court, while on the other hand, the process of depositing all the arms licenses given in the district has been intensified.
Let us tell you that 303 people have been given arms licenses under 13 police stations of the district. Most of which include single barrel gun, double barrel shotgun, pistol and rifle. Out of which 261 weapons have been deposited in various police stations of the district. 35 weapons are with bank guards and people with special exemption from whom applications are being taken. About 07 arms license holders are outside the state. Action is being taken to deposit the remaining amount.
