Police raid to catch illegal liquor, video

Raigarh. Before the dry day, action is being taken by the police station in-charge regarding the collection of illegal liquor after taking information from the informers activated in the area. In the same sequence, the police got information about illegal sale of liquor by Kaleshwar Prasad Rathore in village Halahuli under Kharsia police station area.

On information, Kharsia police station sub-inspector Ainu Kumar Dewangan and Hamrah staff conducted a liquor raid along with witnesses at the house of suspect Kaleshwar Prasad Rathore in village Halahuli. Seeing the police on the spot, the people buying and drinking liquor ran away. A person standing near the door of the house was caught selling liquor. When asked about his name and address, he told his name as Kaleshwar Prasad Rathore, father Late Kriparam Rathore, age 55, resident of Halahuli police station, Kharsia, on whose witness 37 pav plain liquor, sealed Jumla 6.66 liters worth ₹ 3,330 and sale of liquor was kept in a plastic sack inside the room. An amount of ₹500 has been seized. Action has been taken against accused Kaleshwar Prasad Rathore under Excise Act at Kharsia police station. Sub-inspector Ainu Kumar Dewangan, constable Pradeep Tiwari and Yogesh Sahu were involved in the liquor raid.
