Police raid in dhaba adjacent to main road, liquor and beer seized
Raigarh. Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel has given instructions to take effective action against those selling illegal drugs and goons regarding the upcoming Holi festival and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, on which continuous action is being taken after receiving inputs from the informer. In the same sequence, yesterday afternoon, on the information of illegal sale of liquor at the dhaba of Bangursia Main Road, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel and under the guidance of Cyber Cell Supervisory Officer Abhinav Upadhyay, the joint cyber cell and police station Chakradharnagar under the leadership of TI Inspector Prashant Rao. The team raided village Bangursia to raid liquor. Where after seeing the police cordon on the main road near the Dhaba, a person was running away and was caught by the police team.
The arrested person revealed his name as Manoj Singh, from whose possession 91 pieces of Golden Goa English Liquor, 32 pav of Country Plain Liquor and 05 pieces of Butweezer Beer, a total of 25 liters of illicit liquor worth Rs 14,580 were seized by the police in front of witnesses in a plastic sack. Accused Manoj Singh, father Jai Prakash Singh, age 45 years, action has been taken under section 34(2), 59(A) of the Excise Act at Police Station Kotra Road Hall near Sakin Bhagwan Pur Pond, Bangursia Police Station Chakradharnagar. Police station in-charge Chakradhar city inspector Prashant Rao Aher, head constable Mahendra Karsh, Suman Chauhan and cyber cell head constable Rajesh Patel, constable Mahesh Panda, Prashant Panda, Vikas Pradhan, Naveen Shukla were involved in the liquor raid proceedings.
