Police raid in butcher locality, liquor supplier arrested

Bhilai. Cantonment police has raided Kasai locality. The informer had informed that in Kasai Mohalla Camp 02, a person named Sheikh Akram was earning money by selling liquor in large quantities in the street next to Kalim Dispensary.

The information on which raid was conducted. Sheikh Akram was caught selling illegal liquor. From which 30 pauvas of local spice and 32 pauvas of plain and 46 pauvas of English liquor, 01 and 09 pauvas of Jammu English liquor, a total of 117 pauvas worth Rs 16140 were recovered. Crime number 25/2024 under section 34(2) of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused in the police station cantonment, after arresting him, legal action is being taken. Inspector Sonal Gwala, Sub Inspector Ajay Singh, Pr R Jaspal Singh, Constable Trilok Bhathi, Jeet Narayan, Akash Tiwari and Dhamendra Singh were involved in the said proceedings.
