Police officer arrested for taking bribe, ACB nabbed him
Raipur news. The team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and his associate taking bribe in Surajpur district. According to the information, the applicant Shivmangal Singh, resident of village Surata, police station Ramanujnagar district Surajpur had complained in the office of Anti Corruption Bureau Ambikapur that in village Surata, the applicant’s brother was hit on the head with a tangia and got seriously injured, on which crime number 93/2024 was registered in police station Ramanujnagar under section 294, 506, 323, 34 IPC. The crime is being investigated by Assistant Sub Inspector Madhav Singh.
In order to add section 307 in this crime, arrest the accused and challan, the investigating officer Assistant Sub Inspector Madhav Singh was demanding a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the applicant. The applicant did not want to give bribe, but wanted to get caught red handed while taking bribe. After verification of the complaint, it was found to be true and a trap was organized today and the accused Assistant Sub-Inspector Madhav Singh, Police Station Ramanujnagar, District Surajpur and his associate Mohmuddin, through whom the bribe amount of Rs 10,000 was taken, both were caught red handed. The accused have been arrested and action is being taken against them under the provisions of Section 7 of the PC Act 1988.
