Police busted robbery bride gang, 5 accused arrested

Gujarat. Police has made a big revelation about the robber bride gang in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat. Police have arrested 5 accused in this case. This gang used to trap a person for marriage by hiding his identity and then after the marriage the bride would run away with jewelery and valuables. The police were searching for the gang members after the complaint of 31-year-old Ajay Singh Solanki. However, the mastermind of the gang, Riyaz, is said to be still absconding. According to TOI report, Gir-Somnath local crime branch police on Saturday (March 9) arrested Kausar Bano along with Muskaan Mirza, Shamim alias Seema Joshi, Narsingh Waza and Nagdev Hiralal. Fake birth certificates, Aadhar cards and many other documents have been recovered from the accused.

Actually, after searching for a bride for many years, 31-year-old Ajay Singh Solanki was happy that he would finally live a happy married life. He tied the knot with a woman named Rinkle Pandya in February. However, on the 10th day of their marriage, Solanki got a big shock when Rinkle ran away from their house with cash, gold and other valuables. Later, Solanki learned that the woman claiming to be Rinkle was actually Kausar Bano Kanmi, a member of a gang that used to rob grooms by preparing fake identity documents and taking people into confidence.

A complaint was lodged with Sutrapada police on March 8 against the victim Ajay Solanki. After which the police started searching for the ‘Luteri Dulhan’ gang and traced the accused after getting specific information about their whereabouts. The mastermind of this racket is Muskan’s husband Riyaz who is absconding. Waja, Muskaan who changed her name to Komal, Hiralal and Shamim worked as agents to find grooms and force them to marry women from their gang. Police inspector Arvind Singh Jadeja, in-charge of the local crime branch, said, “Riyaz used to forge the Aadhaar cards and school leaving certificates of the gang members and change their names and religion. Solanki had asked one of his friends to find a bride for him. and he contacted Waza, whom he had known for many years. Subsequently Waza sent him two photographs including those of Kausar Bano and said that her name was Rinkle Pandya. Solanki expressed his desire to marry her and then Stuck in.
