Police arrested three members of ATM fraud gang, recovered 92 ATM cards

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Crime Branch Police has arrested three people who were cheating people by doing ATM fraud. 92 ATM cards have been recovered from them. A car with a swipe machine has also been recovered. These people used to install Feviquick in ATM and stick people’s cards in it. Later they would withdraw money from the same. This gang had learned the method of fraud from YouTube.

The gang leader had a clothing business. In which, after incurring losses, he started the work of fraud.

ADCP Sachchidanand Rai of Crime Branch in Ghaziabad said that the arrested accused used to go to the ATM in a very clever manner and after applying Fevi Quick on the chip of the ATM card, they used to swap it in the ATM machine two to three times. Due to which the reading capacity of the ATM machine was reduced. In such a situation, whenever any other person came to the ATM to withdraw money, his ATM got stuck there.

This gang had posted the number of their own gang partner inside the ATM in the name of customer care. The victim used to call that number. Then, after luring the victim, the gang present at the ATM used to change the ATM and withdraw money from the victim’s ATM and go away from there.

Police interrogation revealed that the leader of this gang had invented a method of fraud through YouTube. At present Gagan, Sonu and Devendra have been arrested. One accused is still absconding. Police interrogation has also revealed that Sonu earlier used to work in readymade clothes. After incurring losses, he started committing fraud.
