Police arrested the thief who stole in the distillery
Bilaspur. The police have arrested the thief who stole in the liquor distillery located in Ashok Nagar of Sarkanda police station area. The stolen DVR from the accused thief has also been seized. At the same time, the police is searching for another absconding thief.
Sarkanda police station in-charge Faizul Shah said that “on Monday night between 2:30 and 3:00, thieves raided the liquor shop near RK Petrol Pump in Ashok Nagar. The thieves tried to break and uproot the locker. But When they did not succeed in playing the locker, the thieves stole the DVR of the CCTV camera there and fled.” In this incident, about 6 lakhs kept in the locker were saved from theft. For questioning in the case, Sarkanda police station interrogated Santosh Lashkar, a security guard living in Birkona, posted in a liquor shop. During interrogation at the police station, the security guard first tried to mislead the police with a fabricated story. The accused told that “3 to 4 youths had come there and started fighting by showing knives and threatening to kill. Because of this, he ran away in fear.”
The police suspected the security guard. After which he was arrested and interrogated. He broke down after the police took strict action and confessed to stealing the liquor in the shop along with another of his accomplices. The police have registered a case against the accused and have taken fire action. Along with this, the police has gathered in search of his absconding partner.
