Police action on 3 including PWD officer, digging pit left open

Bilaspur. Police has lodged an FIR against the Executive Engineer (EE), Sub Engineer and Contractor of PWD in Bilaspur. A day before, a dairy operator riding a bike had died after falling into a pit dug for the construction of a road, due to which angry relatives and residents of the locality protested at the police station by keeping the dead body and created a ruckus, after which the police swung into action. . The case is of Civil Line police station area.

Big negligence of PWD officers and contractor came to the fore on Thursday night. In fact, the construction of the road from Deendayal to Lokhandi is going on in Uslapur, for which the contractor has left the pit dug. There has neither been any signage nor barricading, due to which dairy operator Kripal Singh Gaba (63), a resident of Usha Upvan Colony, Lokhandi, fell into a pit along with his bike on Thursday night, killing him. Earlier, four other people were also injured after falling in the pit.

As soon as the information about this accident was received, the relatives went to Sims with the help of an ambulance carrying his dead body. After this, he kept demanding action against those responsible. Till late night, the family members stayed in the police station to register the FIR.
