PM Modi’s road show in Coimbatore today
Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of three states Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu today. First of all he will address a public meeting in Jagtial, Telangana at 11:30 am. After this he will go to Karnataka. Will address a rally here in Shivamogga at 3:15 pm. At the end of the day he will take out a 4 km long road show in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. On March 14, Coimbatore BJP district president J Ramesh Kumar had sought permission from the police for the road show. On the morning of March 15, permission for the rally was refused citing law and order concerns and the conduct of examinations. After this Ramesh had approached Madras HC. The court has directed Tamil Nadu Police to approve PM Modi’s road show with certain conditions. If we talk about the last 3 Lok Sabha elections in Kerala, NDA did not get a single seat here. However, their voting percentage has increased. The BJP is isolated here after the separation of its ally party All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu. BJP had won 4 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, but after losing the assembly elections, Congress seems to be dominant here.
