PM Modi’s April 3 visit: Drones banned in Puducherry

Tamil Nadu: A drone ban has been imposed in Puducherry ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election campaign on Friday (April 3).

The Superintendent of Police requested the district administration to establish a drone-free zone during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Puducherry. Accordingly, Puducherry District Magistrate A. Kulothungan has ordered a ban on drone cameras and unmanned aerial vehicles in Puducherry to strengthen security and preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit.

Furthermore, any aerial photography or video recording using drones, balloons, etc. is prohibited.

Puducherry and the Uzhavakarai Municipal Area have been declared drone-free zones. Governor Kulothungan issued the order on Monday night.
