PM Modi to visit Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana today
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana on Friday to give impetus to the party’s election campaign in South India in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During his one-day visit to the three states, PM Modi will campaign for the candidates of BJP and allies through rallies and road shows. His visit is part of BJP’s strategy to focus on South India. The party is seeing scope here to achieve the target of 400 seats for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha elections. It is noteworthy that for the last few days, PM Modi has been visiting various parts of South India to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development projects.

After this he will leave for Pathanamthitta city of southern Kerala. There he will address a public meeting and meet NDA candidates V. Muraleedharan (Attingal), Anil K. Antony (Pathanamthitta), Shobha Surendran (Alappuzha) and Baiju will hold road shows for Kalasala (Mavelikkara).
Padmaja Venugopal, who recently left Congress and joined BJP, will also be present in the meeting. The Prime Minister will reach Hyderabad in the evening to hold a road show in Malkajgiri. He will campaign for BJP candidates in Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Chevella. After the road show, he will rest for the night at Raj Bhavan and will go to Nagarkurnool the next day to address a public meeting. It is noteworthy that this will be his second visit to Telangana in less than 10 days. Earlier he had visited Adilabad and Sangareddy and addressed two meetings besides launching development projects. BJP, which is contesting alone in Telangana, has announced party candidates for 15 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Home Minister Amit Shah, who visited Hyderabad two days ago, asked BJP workers to ensure that the party wins more than 12 seats in the state. Telangana is the second most important state for BJP in South India after Karnataka. In 2019, the party had won four Lok Sabha seats here. This was the saffron party’s best performance so far in the state.
