PM Modi to inaugurate new Vande Bharat Express in Gujarat on March 12

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Vande Bharat Express train on March 12. This train is capable of reaching a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

PM Modi will virtually flag off the orange colored Vande Bharat Express train along with about 10 other Vande Bharat trains across the country.

The newly launched Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 6.10 am and stop at Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali before reaching Mumbai Central at 11.35 am.

There are 16 coaches in the express train. This train has been designed to make travel between these major cities fast and comfortable. It will stop at major stations including Borivali, Vapi, Surat and Vadodara.

There was a demand for another Vande Bharat Express for Gandhinagar-Mumbai service on this route, due to which this decision was taken. Average daily passenger numbers exceeded capacity, necessitating additional services to accommodate the increasing number of passengers.

PM Modi is also expected to announce the extension of the Ahmedabad to Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express to Okha and the introduction of a new weekly express train connecting Bhuj to Delhi Sarai Rohilla.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the Operation Command Control Room (OCC) at the head office of the Dedicated Freight Corridor.
