PM Modi: Telangana became ATM for Congress
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in Jagtial on Monday, said that the people of Telangana will create history as they vote for ‘Vikit Telangana’ on May 13. He said that the upcoming parliamentary elections are a fight between whom? Those who want to worship Shakti and those who want to destroy.
The PM said that the India Alliance released its manifesto and they announced that their fight is against ‘Shakti’. He said, “For me, every daughter, mother and sister is the embodiment of ‘Shakti’. Those who are raising voice against ‘Shakti’, I accept your challenge. I am ready to sacrifice my life for ‘Shakti’.” Am.” Said.
Referring to the alleged Delhi Liquor Policy scam and the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, Modi accused BRS of betraying the trust of Telangana and looting the state for the last 10 years. “Now, Telangana has become an ATM for the Congress and the state’s money is going to Delhi,” he said.
Assuring people that he would not spare those who looted the people of Telangana, he said, “This is my guarantee.” He also sought blessings of the people of Telangana in the fight against corruption.
PM Modi alleged that while the Congress is silent on allegations of corruption in the Kaleshwaram project, the BRS is not questioning the Congress government for not implementing its promises. Reiterating his “cover fire” comment, he said, “Both parties are protecting each other. And, when both the parties are put under investigation, they start abusing Modi.
The Prime Minister also said that the next five years are important for Telangana. The central government has done a lot to improve the infrastructure of the state, building 2,000 km of national highways and enhancing Vande Bharat connectivity, he said.
He stressed that his government’s schemes have reached Telangana without any prejudice.
“As the polling day approaches, there is a BJP wave in Telangana, while Congress and BRS will be wiped out,” he said.
The BJP had won four of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana in the 2019 general elections and is looking to improve its tally in 2024, where it will contest alone.
Winning more seats from Telangana is part of the BJP’s plan to make significant electoral inroads in the south.
Modi has already held a road show in Hyderabad’s Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat and addressed a public meeting in Nagarkurnool in the state last week.
Earlier this month, the Prime Minister had participated in various development programs in Telangana.
Voting will be held in Telangana on 13 May.
