Plus 2: Deadline for urgent application for by-election extended till June 4, relief to students

Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu: The last date to apply for Plus 2 by-election (Supplementary Exam) in Tamil Nadu has been extended on an urgent basis. The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has announced that students can now apply till Thursday (June 4). Earlier this last date was fixed as June 3, which has now been extended by one more day.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of those students who were not able to apply within the earlier stipulated time limit. The Plus 2 common examination in the state was conducted last March under the state syllabus, the result of which was released on May 8.

For students who have not been successful in the main examination, the supplementary examination will be conducted from June 29 to July 7. The application process is going on to appear in this examination. Earlier the application period for this was fixed from May 18 to May 30, but many students were deprived of the application. After this, additional time was given on 1st and 2nd June under the Special Admission Scheme (Tatkal).

Now keeping in mind the interest of the students, the administration has extended the application process till June 3 and 4. According to officials, this step will ensure that no eligible student is deprived of appearing for the examination.

The Directorate of Government Examination has clarified that students can apply through their respective schools. At the same time, private or individual candidates can also submit applications directly through Government Service Centers.

Education department officials said that the supplementary examination is an important opportunity for those students who have not been successful in the main examination and want to save their academic year. The department also informed that the application process has been kept simple and transparent so that more and more students can take advantage of it.

According to the state education department, the purpose of extending the deadline is to reduce additional pressure on students and give them a last chance. Officials have directed all schools to immediately inform eligible students and assist in the application process.

Experts believe that with this step a large number of students will be able to apply for the supplementary examination and will get another chance. With this, educational loss can also be reduced to a great extent.

Meanwhile, the Education Department has appealed to the students not to wait for the last date and complete the application process on time so that any kind of technical or administrative problem can be avoided.
