Pickup van dragged the bike for a long distance after the collision, two died

Noida (IANS) | A major road accident took place on the elevated road on Noida’s MP 2 Road in the morning when a pickup van hit two motorcycle-borne youths. Both the seriously injured youths were admitted to the hospital for treatment, where they died during treatment. The police have started investigating the matter by sending the dead bodies for postmortem.

The marks present at the spot suggest that after hitting the pickup van, the bike was dragged along the divider for a long distance, due to which two bike riders were seriously injured.

Additional DCP Shakti Mohan Singh said that the incident took place in the morning on the road leading from Film City to Sector 62. Manoj Kumar and Gaurav, who work in a media house in Film City, were on their way to their home in Ghaziabad after completing duty on their bike when their motorcycle went ahead of the ISKCON temple when a speeding pick-up vehicle hit the bike and caused serious injuries. Dragged far away.

Because of this both were seriously injured. The driver of the pickup van fled from the spot after the accident.

As soon as the information about the road accident was received, the police of Sector 24 police station reached the spot and admitted both the injured to Kailash Hospital for treatment, where they died during treatment. Police Station Sector 24 has filled the dead body’s panchnama and sent it for postmortem.

The driver of the pickup van is absconding whom the police is looking for. Due to this accident, the traffic on the elevated road was disrupted for some time but it has been opened by the police.
