Phagwara: Shop owner arrested for selling beef

Punjab: A group of Gau Rakshaks from Jalandhar and Patiala raided a shop in Phagwara after receiving information about alleged sale of beef. The raid was carried out at a shop in Maheru village near Phagwara on the night of September 30.
The Gau Rakshaks found several cans of canned beef in the shop. They informed the police, who seized the cans and arrested the owner, Nakul Dhir, a resident of Jalandhar. A case has been registered against Dhir at the Satnampura police station.
