PFAS a Serious Issue: A Seminar on Innovative Technologies

Technology: In recent years, environmental contamination caused by PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) has become a serious issue. The analytical techniques used to detect these substances are rapidly evolving, especially with the integration of artificial intelligence, which is opening up new avenues for research and analysis.

A seminar focused on PFAS measurement technology will be held in collaboration with the PFAS Technology Consortium and Thermo Fisher Scientific. The event is designed for professionals in the field and will feature experts from Nanjing University and City University of Hong Kong who will share their latest findings on PFAS research in China, including non-target analysis using AI.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s latest measurement equipment during a laboratory tour following the lecture. The seminar is scheduled to take place at the Yokohama Analytical Center on December 11, 2024, providing a unique opportunity to deepen the understanding of cutting-edge PFAS measurement techniques.

The event is particularly beneficial when attended in conjunction with the “International PFAS Technology Conference” and “SEMICON Japan” on December 12 and 13. Interested individuals can register for the seminar until December 6, 2024, with the fee set at 6,000 yen. For details, registration is available through the specified link.

This initiative aims to bring together stakeholders committed to advancing PFAS analysis and fostering collaboration within the industry.
