Petrol tanker fell into the ditch under the road, one killed, one injured

Tehri (IANS) | A petrol tanker coming from Narendra Nagar towards Rishikesh in Uttarakhand fell into a ditch on Thursday morning. One person died while one person was injured in this road accident. The accident happened when the tanker driver dozed off and the tanker fell into the ditch. On information, outpost in-charge Plasda sub-inspector reached the spot. 108 ambulance and SDRF team were informed about the incident through the control room. One person Suraj Kumar was found injured at the spot.

According to Suraj, suddenly our fellow tanker driver Bhupendra Sharma fell asleep. Due to this the tanker became uncontrolled. The tanker broke the iron railing on the side and fell into the ditch. Suraj told that before that I opened the window and jumped out. Injured Suraj Kumar was immediately sent to Government Hospital Narendra Nagar by 108 ambulance.

After this, along with the SDRF team present on the spot, the tanker driver Bhupendra Sharma was rescued from the ditch. Bhupendra was found dead. He was also sent to Government Hospital Rishikesh Dehradun Morchery through 108 ambulance. The families of the deceased and injured have been informed.
